Samsung 870 Evo SSD vanishes from File Manager unexpectedly.
Initially I'm not very familiar with technology, so please forgive my simple words. My Samsung SSD often vanishes from my file manager. It's a 1 terabyte drive and I've seen it reappear after I restart my computer. But after about two hours of operation, it disappears again. The device is new, having been purchased just two months ago. Possible reasons could be the failing power supply unit in my PC. While playing games on that SSD, I smelled burning coming from the PSU. I swapped it out for a Corsair 750W model and reconnected all cables. Immediately after the PSU change, the SSD vanished. It didn't crash or shut down, even with the burning smell. Also, the PCI/e cable from the new PSU had four available ports, which I used for multiple drives. I ran Samsung Magician to check the SSD's health—it worked fine. However, the games failed to load. I tried plugging and unplugging all cables, but the SSD still disappeared over time. My system specs are: motherboard - MSI Z87 G55 CPU - Intel i5 4670k GPU - Nvidia GTX 1080 PSU - Corsair 750W Bronze. Any suggestions for resolving this issue?
