HyperX details: same SK Hynix die? DDR4-2666MHz CL16-18-18-39 @1.2V DDR4-2666MHz CL15-17-17-36? @1.35V (second profile for 3000MHz kit) DDR4-3000MHz CL15-17-17-36 @1.35V DDR4-3200MHz CL16-18-18-36 @1.35V Same speed on both 3000 and 3200 kits I found on a Russian review site... This raises my curiosity about the chances that the 2666MHz kit uses the same die as the 3000 and 3200 models? Russian OC result: DDR4-3333MHz CL16-18-18-36 @1.35V

It wouldn't be unexpected. They can reference the IC while maintaining a different advertised frequency.

Different dice have varying capabilities. Low frequencies under 3200MHz might indicate a faulty component, which could signal poor performance.

In theory, if it runs at DDR4-2666MHz CL15-17-17-36 at 1.35V, I should be able to test 3000MHz and 3200MHz by adjusting the CAS settings according to the specifications of those speeds. I think it’s time to look for a memtest86 stick then...

I own the 2666MHz kit, but it seems the specifications appear limited to voltage adjustments. (On Papir it looks like)

Testing has been paused temporarily, currently stuck at 2666MHz. I think the board is blocking it. However, 15-17-17-36 at 1.35V has shown stability so far—five runs without any issues! (Maybe try it on another Mobo...)

Essentially, everyone has just replicated top-rated profiles, which is why it doesn’t perform as expected. You should go further and tweak each value individually.

I'm not entirely confident about this. Intel B460 boards are typically locked at 2666MHz, even though some users reported issues booting at 2800MHz. On the other hand, a 2666MHz CL15 seems like a significant upgrade over a 2666MHz CL16. The CL15 runs XMP profile 2 from the 3000kit, which serves as a fallback for customers using B460, H470, or 410 boards. In theory, transferring these components to another machine with an AMD B450 might work, potentially booting at 3000MHz and confirming the same die. I'm planning to run some tests on another system using a DDR4-3200MHz CL16 and see if adapting the 3600MHz CL17 or 18 profiles helps. This could be especially beneficial thanks to Infinity Fabric, which can reach up to 3600MHz.
