Hi, you've spotted both 10600K and 11400F at the same price. For your MSI B460M A-Pro board, the 10600K offers higher clock speeds, which could improve performance. If you're leaning toward the 11th generation CPU, it should work on the B460 without a BIOS update, though ensure your motherboard supports the newer architecture.
B460 models don’t originally support Rocket Lake-S CPUs, so you’d need to choose between the 10600K or a Z490/B560. The 10600K offers better performance but is limited to 2666MHz on B460. A more flexible option would be a Ryzen 3600 paired with an affordable A520/B450/B550 board. If you already have that motherboard, the 10600K should work if you’re comfortable using it for your intended tasks.
10400F offers superior performance compared to the 3000 series; I wouldn't choose that unless it's significantly discounted.
Thanks for the feedback. B560 boards are significantly pricier than B460 models in your region. The 10400F offers a better value compared to both options. I’m considering it as well.
10400/F on B460 locked @ 2666 works just like the 3600, they match closely in performance and swap trades during work.
