Is there any connection between the temperature differences and a possible issue with the GPU? I noticed two identical GPUs in the same setup, yet one stays around 34°C while the other hits 45°C. These readings are at idle. It seems unrelated to a defect at 45°C. The fans are blowing on the cooler unit, which should reflect lower temps.

It doesn’t seem like a problem at all. Two GPUs are installed in separate slots—one likely X16 and the other X8. I’m just trying to figure it out. You didn’t mention your motherboard details. Even if both slots are X16 or similar, one GPU is handling more tasks than the other. The heat from the other unit is also being directed toward it. A temperature of 45°C is typical. No cause for concern.

the lower GPU releases heat upward, making the top GPU feel warmer than usual. likely one is handling more load.
