I upgraded my system with 8700k, two 16GB RAM sticks at 4000MHz, a 2x8GB setup running at 2400MHz, and a GTX 1080 Ti. I’m hoping this will boost my FPS since I’m currently around 200 in Overwatch. My friend has a similar build—8086k with four 8GB RAMs at 3200MHz—and consistently hits 300+ frames without any bottlenecks. He’s not sure what he’s checking, but he seems confident. I’ve also reinstalled Windows and updated the drivers.
Upgrading RAM probably won’t make much difference unless it’s the bottleneck, like if it’s slowing down your CPU. Confirm that Overwatch uses identical configurations (settings and resolution) on both systems.
