Thank you. I'm working on a lot of projects with my PC for game development. These items seem to be priced similarly, or I could get a Ryzen 9 9900X paired with a 4090 for about the same cost.

Used 4090, probably. Think game dev doesn’t need dual GPUs—just run a few 3090s with extra VRAM to get a 4090 while easing CPU load.

Exclude Intel processors from the 13th, 14th, and 15th generation.

Only a handful of game development tools still work with dual GPUs, and the 4090 would have been much simpler to handle.

I would build with the newest technology, making sure to use the latest GPU to get full benefits from AI, DLSS, and frame generation.

The max OC of 5080 is similar to 4090, around 10-15%. Choose the CPU that fits your needs. Also, do you require 24GB of VRAM?

Avoid purchasing the 14900K. I owned one that failed after a few months. It received a replacement warranty in mid-2024, but it also malfunctioned again within months. To function properly, you need to lower its clock speed, and I’m unsure if it will improve or worsen further. Refrain from buying this processor. Intel’s 13th generation models face identical problems. Do not buy.
