SAMBA Server Issue
SAMBA Server Issue
I performed a factory reset on my Windows 10 system. The issue persists—my SAMBA shares aren’t showing up from this specific desktop. Even after restarting Lubuntu 19.10, the same problem remains, only this machine connects to the server. I’m updating my smb.conf file now.
It might be hidden on the network rather than truly unreachable. Windows 10 sometimes struggles to detect Samba servers, so manually entering the name can make them appear.
It is entirely undetectable. I am certain my SAMBA protocol functions correctly on my desktop since a comparable server is operational in the house. It appears only this instance is affected. I suspect a possible issue preventing the server from recognizing my desktop, despite no firewall rules blocking it and the firewall being disabled. I have attempted numerous solutions without success, leading me to believe the problem might relate to the upgrade from 19.04 to 19.10. The issue seems specific to Samba, as RDP access works fine even without direct IP connection.
