I bought Saints Row 2 on Steam and noticed it runs poorly. My FPS often drops below 30, sometimes hitting 30 but rarely staying stable. When I drive, I usually get around 10 FPS. There are ways to improve performance, even with your specs: Intel Core i3-2310M, HD graphics, 8GB DDR3 RAM.

This title is quite dated, an Intel HD 3000 can't run Saints Row 3. However, I played Saints Row 2 on an Intel HD 2000 with 4GB RAM and achieved about 30 FPS minimum. You might want to try reducing the resolution, adjusting quality settings, closing background apps, and stopping other downloads or Steam updates.

Check the current game settings and lower everything to the minimum. Reduce the resolution—for example, run at 720 on a 1080p display. Also, look for any background programs like VoIP, streaming or recording apps, or other services running.

I’d also consider installing the Gentleman of the Row mod (or something similar). It includes updates that might improve performance. The game isn’t well-optimized, so smooth operation depends largely on luck.

I resolved the issue, but it only worked after downloading a patch while driving. Lol

I downloaded that file and resolved the issue; it still stutters occasionally but is mostly fixed.

Resolved the issue, but that’s what I’m doing in Saints Row 2.
