Safe Mode Continues to Freeze
Safe Mode Continues to Freeze
You're experiencing issues with your Windows sign-in screen. The cursor blinks but doesn't move, the keyboard doesn't respond, and you can't type. Try restarting your computer or checking for software updates. If the problem persists, consider resetting your display settings or contacting Microsoft support.
The device entered safe mode due to an issue that required protection.
I often rely on safe mode when executing ddu, the GPU driver uninstaller. After several driver updates, they tend to become unresponsive, preventing older files from being deleted.
Windows 11 64 with i9 12900k and stock GPU, Asus z690 motherboard, Corsair 850w power supply, and a Samsung 980 Pro SSD with about 30 gigabytes free space. The drive isn't full. I managed to restart and see the troubleshooting screen, but after repair attempts it didn't detect anything. Now I can't return to that screen easily. I'm trying to exit safely using command prompt, but it just restarts repeatedly when I try to force quit or restart.
