safe 24/7 OC for 6700k
safe 24/7 OC for 6700k
I've seen a few people ask about it, but I haven't played with OC in the new boards bios. My PC specs are listed in my profile.
I'm aiming for 4.5 out of this beast, but I'm unsure where to begin because this BIOS is quite different from my previous setup, and I used the Intel overclock tool (which didn't really help). This is going to be my first OC in an actual BIOS.
I searched around but couldn't find any helpful advice for this chip with my board, which is why I'm reaching out :/
The discussion addresses adjusting the multiplier until instability occurs, then increasing the voltage to achieve the desired or maximum overclock. It suggests avoiding exceeding 1.39v on that chip for continuous overclocking. This advice comes from the initial reply to the original question.
