Sabertooth X58 connected with RX 5700XT displaying a black screen following BIOS setup.
Hello, I'm facing some issues with my current configuration: W3680 Xeon 6Core (not overclocked) 12GB DDR3 RAM Dark Rock Pro 4 Heatsink 2 drives (SSD+HDD) 700W CoolerMaster PSU New RX 5700XT. I can enter the BIOS but when booting, I see a black screen. The PC doesn't power on or starts up without any fan noise. It's similar to a normal boot but no digital output. I've tried using ExpressGate for this type of problem, but it hasn't helped. No success on the internet so far. I'm not interested in buying new components since I'm satisfied with my setup. I already reset the CMOS with the jumper and removed the battery beforehand. A fresh BIOS update didn't resolve anything. Anyone have similar issues? I really don't want to replace the mainboard, CPU, or RAM just because I'm okay with this configuration.
Have you tested connecting the display on various ports? It appears the computer starts up correctly but doesn’t show any output. Edit: You may need to install a BIOS update. Edit2: Check if switching the Express Gate to auto or enabling it in the BIOS works.
Yes, the BIOS supports UEFI. The board includes a PCI-E 2.0 interface.
The only option is to update the BIOS. The system doesn’t work unless a BIOS update enables UEFI support. I’m unsure if PCI E 2.0 can run with a 4.0 card... My biggest experience was between 2.0 and 3.0.
