From the "Get Windows 10" process, everything should work. If you start from a USB drive, you might lose your data. It's better to perform a fresh installation instead.

Improve it. There will be no issues with file loss during the upgrade. However, it is suggested to carry out a fresh installation of Windows 10 once the upgrade is complete.

You can decide what stays if you only wish to retain your files (documents, photos, music, movies, etc.). Select "Just personal files." To avoid saving anything, pick "Nothing." It’s wise to back up your files on an external drive before proceeding.
