So far, I really enjoy this operating system. I just updated my drivers for my 770 and games are now running smoothly—this has been quite an exciting journey. Right now, the only issue with W10 is that some apps keep crashing and failing to respond, but overall it feels great and performs much better than I thought.
Mainly all changes made by Windows. If you need to go back to older files, you can restore them from Windows.old on your drive.
Have you attempted to test all features in compatibility mode? Windows.old functions as an archive; you can't rely on it for restoration. It exists only to preserve essential data.
I can't go back to the old version of Windows. Here’s the plan I’ve made: I’ll purchase a Western Digital 1TB drive after finalizing this. Once I receive it, I’ll copy all my Steam, music, videos, and photos to the external hard drive using USB 3.0. Then I’ll format the drive and install Windows 7. After that, I’ll move the needed folders over so everything works. I’m hoping it won’t take too long, but I’d love your thoughts on whether this approach will succeed.
