I’d likely find it easier to mount a pro or LR compared to a vertical setup, placing it on the ceiling behind an eave, probably near the light in the photo. The difference in performance between the pro/mesh and the LR version would be noticeable, especially regarding the line of sight.

Unfortunately, I can't provide personal experience as I've only operated U6-Lites indoors. I also doubt Ubiquiti will share this detail, since conditions vary. You might need to make an educated estimate using available specs like transmit power and antenna gain, noting the U6-LR's higher ratings. Hope your neighbors' signals are weak or absent enough to avoid interference. That should work.
