they return things people left in a gift (often fake skins) and I wonder why it’s not better. I’ve received refunds on some charges for the skins, which felt similar to last year. They claimed they adjusted their refund process, but in reality, they’re just giving back items for the simplest reasons.
They adjusted it so the valve isn't affected when you lose your belongings due to a scam.
After the change, people often include a skin in a gift box and send it off, then file a claim saying they were hacked or scammed to get their money back. This continues today because items can still be sold, making profit for the seller. Even if it's a fake, refunds are given so the seller can later make a small gain from it. Over time, these tiny amounts add up.
I'd avoid G2A, the risk of being screwed outweighs the couple dollars you'd save. Plus there's a decent chance buying from them means less $ for the developers of the game you'd like to support. Mostly the first, but the second item should at least give you a warm fuzzy feeling. Unless you're buying from EA, in which case... you know -Joe
I tried that, but it doesn’t solve your issue with the sale.
