I’m setting up a PC workstation using Xeon 4th gen WS processors. I’m fine with the hardware but have questions about the operating system. Will standard Windows 11 Pro run smoothly and install correctly, or would I need to buy it separately? If it works well, what would I be missing if I didn’t need a dedicated workstation OS? Also, how would RDIMM function properly in normal Windows 11 without any adjustments or changes to the settings? Thanks ahead!

A new setup of Windows 11 Pro will function perfectly fine.

it seems windows for workstations blends features from both desktop and server editions, especially the scheduler in certain server versions being tailored for high-core-count CPUs and NUMA setups. in short, it’s about tuning for performance rather than general functionality.
