Hey everyone: Just checking in on the outcome. Was it a success? What actions did we take? Updated August 18, 2021 by TVwazhere

They likely purchased a switch, yet it’s straightforward to connect all ports in both Windows and Linux systems. The main benefit comes only when your existing PC already supports it, meaning the main added expense is the extra Ethernet ports.

This concept of connecting sounds seems unusual. Wouldn't it be better described as a central point instead of a simple connection? I believed I overlooked a real example of such a switch in an x86 setup for three years.

A bridge functions as a software device that sends data packets to the right port needed to reach the target MAC address. This method also explains how WiFi routers and access points connect to the local network. It’s why such systems require significant processing power since the switching happens entirely through software, unlike real switches that use specialized logic for faster and more efficient operation while using minimal energy.

It clarifies the situation a bit. I wasn’t sure if there were additional aspects beyond typical window/linux behavior. You mentioned pfSenese, and I’m curious about lateralaccessdevice.
