Right now I’m based in the USA and rely on Cox for my internet service. Their combo modem/router works, but I need more Ethernet ports for all my devices. I connect two computers to another router for easy access, but it only gives me about 100MBps even though my modem offers gigabit speeds. I’m curious if there’s a solution or if I should upgrade to a better setup with more ports. The modems I have are the CGM4140COM and the WNR1000v3.

Get a gigabit switch now to swap out the second router. They’re around fifteen dollars.

The device likely doesn't support gigabit speeds, which limits it to 100mbps.
