Hello. I recently purchased BF4 and have never played Battlefield before. When I want to start the game, it first launches Origin, then I click play and it opens a website at http://battlelog.battlefield.com/. Only from there can I actually run the game. WHAT? Is this really the only method? Isn’t there another way to directly launch the game and choose campaign or multiplayer without using the browser? I really dislike this...

It's the same with BF3. Just adapt, it's not that terrible.

No there really isn't. It also has the problem that the shitty addons it needs to do it's thing don't necesarrily run on firefox fork's like palemoon or waterfox. Was really frustrated with Battlefield 3 for that reason at some point.

You can directly access the site and start using it without opening Origin first. Once familiar, navigation becomes straightforward. The concept was unusual but manageable.

You can immediately head to BattleLog and select a server there. Join one, and once the game begins, the map will load and you'll be in the server. It's quite smooth. You also have the option to tweak your equipment setup in BattleLog.

Absolutely, using a clunky in-game browser feels much more logical than relying on a complicated interface. It saves time and effort compared to navigating stats, unlocks, loadouts, and servers manually. Working within the familiar web environment with its full features makes everything clearer and more intuitive. This approach works better once you experience it, so let's move past the frustration.

I initially shared the same idea, but it becomes easier to manage after getting accustomed to it.

I arrived late to the gathering, and by the time we got started, everyone had already been discussing all the issues. This definitely played a role in my choice not to purchase BF4 after trying BF3.
