I just upgraded my rig to a 3700x configuration in the Evolv Shift. I placed the CPU on an H80i since that was the only option for cooling, and I realized I was mostly under strain at around 50°C by default. I decided to push it and see what results we could get—was surprised to find stability at 4.4GHz with just 1.1V, and even under load it stayed solid at 65°C. I’m guessing this is because I’m running a Corsair 2666MHz kit, though I couldn’t confirm. My only other concern is that increasing the voltage doesn’t seem to boost performance or stability. For benchmark numbers: Cinebench R20: 5256, R15: 2277, CPU-Z multi-core: 5863.6, CPU-Z single-core: 534.9. It seems you have a high-performance CPU, but its cooling requirements are quite high. As long as the voltage isn't excessive, keeping it cool should be straightforward. I'm running my 9700k at 4.8ghz across all cores with a Corsair H55 120mm AIO, maintaining a max temperature of 78°C.
