I'm trying to understand where things stand right now. I have a Ryzen 5 2600X running on an Asus B450-Plus board with a Raijintek Themis Black heatpipe cooler. It's not overclocked. Powered by a Be Quiet CM 80 Silver (600W) and paired with an 1660Ti card. For about a year and a half, I've been using it, and it's still holding up. Recently, I encountered some issues where it just stops working without warning. No unusual sounds or signs of overheating, but it just shuts down abruptly. The initial troubleshooting suggests the processor isn't responding—no fan movement, even though the motherboard is on. I've read about reports of similar problems with Ryzen chips, but nothing too alarming. There are supposed safety features now, like thermal and voltage protection, but I'm not sure how effective they are in practice. Since it's a pre-built system from a trusted manufacturer, they're trying to help me resolve the problem. Still, I'm puzzled because these kinds of failures seem rare. Anyone have insights on why this might be happening? I'm worried about making a decision without solid information, especially since I'm considering switching to Intel.

These systems are regarded as trustworthy, yet beyond that, what distinguishes them is their durability. In my observations, prebuilt units often sacrifice quality in motherboards and power supplies, making component failures a likely cause of this problem. This isn't related to AMD's engineering but stems from subpar part choices and manufacturing standards.
