Ryzen2 Gaming Setup 1 Tower featuring AMD CPU Ryzen 1700
I've been watching your channel for a while now. The video titled "2 Gaming Rigs 1" caught my attention, so I wanted to ask. Recently I built a system with a Ryzen 1700, 16GB RAM, Samsung M.2 EVO 960 250GB, ASRock X370 Gaming K4, and a Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080. Could the Ryzen handle a refresh and run gaming setups with just a few upgrades, like adding another GPU and 16GB more RAM? I’d appreciate your thoughts on this. In a few months I plan to upgrade, so I’d like to know if it will support such changes. Thanks! Keep up the great work and have a nice time.
It’s possible to get by without the RAM upgrade if you’re just trying to cut costs, but I’m using Unraid on a R7 and it’s performing great!
Yes, but this was caused by the ATI Nano's having very basic drivers - Dx
The system in the year 1700 offers virtualization capabilities, making it feasible in theory. However, as discussed earlier, the GPU passthrough function was problematic on the platform. Additionally, you'll require two extra GPUs—one for the other gaming setup and another to operate the UnRAID control interface. The Ryzen 1700 does not include an integrated GPU.
