Hello everyone, I’m trying something new – lowering the voltage on my CPU. I have a Ryzen 5600 and a Gigabyte B450M DS3H V2. For simplicity, I want to use 1µs CTR, but when I open it I get this error:

System.AggregateException: One or more errors occurred.
System.NullReferenceException: The object reference wasn’t set to an actual object instance.

It looks like the system can’t find what it’s looking for. At the moment I’m not sure if the version I have is compatible with this setting. Maybe I should check the instructions in the Linux video you mentioned (https://youtu.be/W872lQcy65I?t=163). It says to enable XMP and auto settings, but I’m not sure if that covers non-x versions.

Also, I’m using Windows 11, which might affect things. I don’t need top performance for this build – my setup has RTX 3050, 60Hz display, no gaming. The energy usage is too high for me. I just want to be safe and not waste power.

If you have any tips, please help!

It's really not worth complicating things with an advanced tool like 1usmus Clock Tuner. Undervolting usually doesn't cut power use, especially when CPU speeds increase for the same energy cost. Instead, adjust the BIOS settings to limit maximum PPT power to your desired level—likely around 45W or more. Keep in mind, dropping from 65W to 45W won’t save a huge amount on your bill, but it’s still beneficial. If you feel confident, tweak all cores slightly lower using Curve Optimiser for better performance and efficiency. Removing two cores in BIOS can also help if you don’t need them.

Here you are: The system encountered an aggregation failure with multiple errors. It also reported a null reference issue, indicating it couldn't find the expected object. Essentially, the application was trying to use a non-existent object, which triggered these exceptions.

Here’s a revised version of your message:

Thanks for the input.
1. I believed Clock Tuner offers a simple route into overclocking, so I decided to give it a try.
2. Yes, I didn’t initially consider that as an option. However, if there’s a cap on CPU usage—like a frame rate limit—it shouldn’t be able to run faster, right?
3. That’s a solid suggestion! I had overlooked that feature. Could you clarify what PPT stands for again? If I recall correctly, it relates to the difference between the power rating mentioned on the CPU specs and the actual energy consumption (since it reflects heat generation).
4. I understand it’s mainly about adjusting settings to reduce power usage. That seemed like a reasonable goal for me.
5. I think Curve Optimiser is exactly what I was after throughout this process. Would it be possible to use it in Ryzen Master?
6. Appreciate your thoughtful advice on how to approach this question without going too far. Your suggestions were really helpful!

Thanks a lot for your support.

I understand you're trying to figure out what went wrong. It sounds like the issue might be related to installation errors, but it could also be another type of problem. You may want to reinstall both if unsure, or wait while someone with expertise resolves it.

Based on what I understand about programming, it’s often better to have someone rewrite the code. This usually makes it quicker and more cost-effective than hiring a developer to review and fix issues.

Sorry for the confusion. The issue seems to appear when opening the log file manually, but it doesn’t show up in the program’s error window.
