Hello, I recently purchased a GTX 1080 Ti and found my current CPU insufficient for the GPU. My setup is a Ryzen 5 2600, and I’m eager to upgrade to something more capable. AMD just released a new CPU lineup in November, but my motherboard is B450 with a BIOS update expected in January. This creates a significant delay. Would it be better to wait for the new CPUs or consider alternatives like the Ryzen 7 3700X or 3800X now?

The 2600 should easily handle the 1080ti. Why do you think it wouldn't? Even if you're not happy with it, I'm confident it's sufficient for now until January.

It seems to be lacking stability, but I'm still thinking about purchasing a new CPU. From what I've noticed, any of the 3000 models should provide a solid performance increase.
