Hello everyone, do you have any thoughts on whether AMD Ryzen processors appear more appealing compared to Intel ones? While it's not a major factor, some find them sleeker and more contemporary. The flatter design and larger footprint seem to aid in cooling, but overall, many believe they look significantly better!

Ryzen has struggled with uneven heat distribution, which makes cooling less effective even after Intel improved soldering techniques. Thinner chips can worsen thermal issues, so addressing heat management is crucial.

It's intended to remain hidden. If Intel discovered broader IHS support for thermal management, they might implement it. AMD did not secure patents for large CPU designs.

Absolutely, a more visually appealing CPU tends to boost performance and frame rates.

No RGB CPUs from Intel or AMD exist. That's not good.

It seems like the straight square design is essentially an IHS, and the thermal management on the die is decent overall. It appears to look quite good—preferring PGA over LGA in my opinion.

Now that would be amazing! RGB CPU!

AMD CPU dimensions and IHS markings remain consistent since socket 754. They've even increased pin counts. A Ryzen chip without laser etching appears unchanged over the years. Perhaps the laser process contributes to its attractive appearance?
