You're exploring alternatives to upgrade your iMac. Using a bifurcated PCIe riser to connect it to an M-ITX board is a viable option if you want to extend its capabilities without replacing the whole system.

The card won't fit. You need a TB header on the motherboard. The compatibility list mainly includes ASUS boards with that header.
