ryzen build (any problems??)
ryzen build (any problems??)
Hi everyone, just checked the build from Amazon and found the issue. I’ll see if I can overclock the CPU using the stock cooler—what’s the limit? Also, is the GTX AORUS 1060 a solid pick for this setup? Thanks.
They match the same fan lineup, so opt for the more affordable option if you're sticking with Gigabyte. You might achieve higher quality with a lower wattage power supply. The BQ isn't terrible, but it's at most average in terms of quality.
Looks good!!
I would avoid Gigabyte graphics cards if possible. After about six months of use, I experienced severe fan noise, so I returned it to Gigabyte for repair under warranty. Upon receiving it again, the card was slightly bent and had several scratches. They fixed the fan problem, but it seems like another issue was introduced.
But overall, the fans on Gigabyte cards feel weaker and seem to degrade faster compared to other brands.

That’s interesting, so I’ll ask you something: if I want an Xtreme gaming card for $10 more, should I go for it?

This is interesting, so I'm going to ask you something: if I want the xtreme gaming card for $10 more, should I go for it? That's up to you, but it still uses the same high-performance fans as all other Gigabyte graphics cards, so I wouldn't recommend it personally. It's a good card overall, but the fans are not great. I'd prefer Zotac or EVGA instead.
TechInAZ shared their thoughts on the Gigabyte graphics cards. They mentioned avoiding them if possible due to noise problems after six months of use. After returning the card, they found it bent and scratched, though the fan issue was fixed. They noted the fans on these cards seem weaker and wear out faster compared to others. They considered getting the xtreme gaming card for $10 more but decided against it because it shares the same fans as other Gigabyte cards. They prefer Zotac or EVGA and think the Aorus is a better option at the same price, while the xtreme gaming is still worth considering given its features. They need a quick response before placing an order yesterday.
