Hello, I reviewed my temperatures after installing a new GPU and felt a bit concerned about the readings. The max I saw was around 82°C, which is high but not immediately alarming. When the fan was on at normal speed, it reached up to 68-70°C—still within typical ranges for such setups. You might want to run another test to gather more data before making any decisions. Your system specs look solid, so you should be fine if you proceed cautiously.
How many case fans are needed and whether the GPU is causing the case to overheat. Even with a good CPU cooler, the GPU might still raise the case temperature.
I own six fans overall. Three are at the front, one draws air from the bottom, another draws from the top, while one pushes air out behind. The CPU cooler is expelling air toward the back—probably correct, but I’ll verify. Also, when I first considered this, I realized a problem: the fan at the bottom pulling air in and the GPU pushing air down isn’t ideal. The case isn’t overheating much, so I plan to assess it over the weekend and adjust the fan layout.
I started by taking the PC apart completely. I cleaned all the edges and parts inside. I put new thermal paste back in. I rearranged the fans: now there are three front ones, one at the bottom, and the others pulling air out from the back and top. The idle state looks like this—has been running idle for about 20 minutes. Room temperature is between 18-20°C. I plan to share the readings later when I’m gaming for an hour.
