Hello everyone, I'm working with a Ryzen 7 1700 and attempting a light overclock to reach around 3.7ghz. I've configured the voltage in Ryzen Master to 1.3v, but when testing with CinebenchR15, CPU-Z shows the core voltage at 1.4 volts. I understand that the Ryzen 7 can handle 1.3v without issues, but 1.4 seems a bit high. Could you help clarify why it's reading differently? Thanks for your advice.

AMD's (very cautious) maximum voltage is 1.425v, which remains manageable with adequate cooling. The voltage changes due to automatic adjustments rather than manual settings, as C-states and turbo are engaged.

CountMike's notes indicate AMD's conservative max voltage is 1.425v, which remains stable with adequate cooling. The variation occurs due to automatic settings like C-states and turbo being engaged. It seems the manual adjustment of C-state and turbo maximum voltage isn't straightforward. Updated information from Ryzen Master shows a different reading of 1.3V, while CPU Z displays another value.

It's located in BIOS/UEFI, specifically within the memory-related settings. For more precise and comprehensive information, consider using the HWInfo64 program or CPU-Z, as they tend to provide better accuracy compared to CPU-Z.
