From what I understand, the VRAM on these chips is set at 512MB and isn't adjustable. That means a lot of capacity goes unused.

Hey everyone, it's been a while. It turned out the corsair kit I had wasn't working well. I used the Windows memory diagnostic tool and saw no errors. Then I tried MemTest86, but it failed after about 30 minutes. The memory kit reported over 10,000 errors in that time. I sent it back for replacement and got the new one. When I ran MemTest86 again, it passed smoothly (took around 6 hours and 30 minutes). But sometimes when I tried to run games, the system would crash with specific error codes. I updated the BIOS from F10 to F12 (the latest stable version) and the problem disappeared. Running ETS2 at 60 frames per second and FH4 at about 60 FPS gave me no crashes at all. It looks like the BIOS update fixed everything. Thanks for all the helpful tips!
