Initially, my components included a Ryzen 7 5800X CPU and an Asus X570 Crosshair VIII Hero Wifi motherboard running BIOS 4006. The CPU cooler was a Corsair H150i Elite Capellix 360 AIO with three intake and three exhaust fans. I used a Lian Li O11-Dynamic GPU and a 64GB Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro RAM. My PSU was a Corsair RM1000X.
Recently, I updated the BIOS, even though I often heard warnings against it. It seems some BIOS settings were reset, preventing my PC from booting to Windows due to a fan error. Clearing CMOS helped, but I still needed to adjust PPT/TDC/EDC settings manually. Those adjustments previously kept idle temperatures around 45-47°C.
Currently, I have six Corsair QL120 fans connected to a Commander Core case with an H150i Elite Capellix AIO. The fan speeds are managed via iCue, and I haven’t experienced any issues before. I even set a high fan curve in iCue using my CPU temperature as a reference, but that didn’t improve things.
I’ve enabled Q-Fan disable in the BIOS since the fans now run through the motherboard headers instead of the headers on the board. I’m running out of ideas and would really appreciate any advice.
Looks like weak connections or a pump problem—check if the hoses are getting hot and the pipes. Try removing the cooler, reapplying adhesive, and repositioning it. I'm using a 5800x with an AIO; idle is around 35-40, and under load it rarely exceeds 60.
I last adjusted the CPU three months ago while attempting to resolve this problem. Over the past three months, it’s been idling around 46°C, especially yesterday after updating the BIOS. The connection seems solid.

Based on the BIOS 1.42~ volts reading, it’s unclear if it’s excessive. I’m unsure whether I changed the settings recently. After re-flashing the BIOS to my previous configuration and entering PPT/TDC/EDC at 115/100/80 with the CPU fan header disabled, it still idles around 67%. The fans appear unusually quiet during boot compared to earlier, so I’m not sure if that’s normal.
It might be linked to a software issue. Back in the day, Icue and NZXT cam could make your CPU run at high speeds constantly. You may want to investigate that. The reading of 1.465V is too high—try lowering it to 1.375V, especially if you're just driving every day.
