Hello! I’m purchasing a new upgrade package from my local store this Black Friday. It’s a Ryzen 7 3700X with 32GB Corsair Vengeance 3200MHz RAM (they also offer 3600MHz for an additional $50). My two options are the ASUS ROG STRIX B450-F GAMING and the ASUS ROG Strix X470-F Gaming. The price gap is roughly $30. I also have a Coolermaster MASTERLIQUID ML360R RGB and plan to push the CPU as high as possible. I use my PC for programming (intensive CPU and RAM) and for fast-paced online games like Apex Legends and Modern Warfare. Which motherboard would be best for me, and is the extra $50 worth it? Specifically, for the B450 model, what about the X470 option? It’s crucial to me that the board includes an integrated IO shield since I’m using a Thermaltake Core P90 case with no space for a shield.
