ryzen 7 3700x
Hey everyone, I'm having trouble with my Ryzen 3700X. It's not reaching the advertised 4.4GHz, usually capping around 4.2GHz. The latest BIOS I installed is Aorus X570 Ultra, and it's showing 3600MHz for RAM, which is overclocked from 3200MHz. I have 16GB of memory (two 8GB modules). Anyone have ideas on how to fix this?
4.4Ghz represents the highest single-core boost speed, but it won’t be achieved when using multiple cores. To get consistent 4.4Ghz across all cores, you’ll need to overclock and rely on the chip’s capabilities (I’m not sure what normal OC frequencies look like for that specific part).
Based on online findings, many users manage to reach only 4.2 to 4.3 GHz across all cores. This suggests that attempting overclocking might reduce single-core performance. These processors appear to be nearing their maximum capabilities.
I pushed the CPU overclock without using PBO or Auto OC, instead tuning it manually with Ryzen Master to hit around 4.475Ghz at 1.3875v. I haven’t tried going even higher yet. At peak performance, what cooling solution are you using? I’m running a Tt Water 3.0 360 AIO.
