5900x consumes significantly less power compared to 19850k or 10900k. Guru3d states that 10900k operates at 5 cips higher than 5900x. I’m not sure why TechPowerup’s findings seem unusual—can you look into this more?

Power restrictions. When operating at maximum capacity, it will reduce to PL1 (125W for the 10900K) after a brief interval.

Locking both chips at 125W would probably cause the 10900K to operate a bit cooler. This is due to Intel’s thinner die in Comet Lake-S K SKUs, which improves heat dissipation. That’s why the 10700K stays cooler than the 9900K even though they’re very similar.
