At 1440P, if you plan a GPU boost, the 6750XT or 3060Ti works well. Anything less doesn’t make sense. Both options have seen significant price drops and continue to fall.

Maybe I’m not very familiar with Intel’s hardware, but I’m on the Red side when it comes to CPUs since they’re simpler to upgrade later and the boards are usually cheaper. You can find a B550 board with PCI-E 4.0 for around 75 euros if you opt for a smaller form factor. It also lets you upgrade to a used 5800X3D in a few years with a better GPU. Personally, I might skip AM5 altogether. Gaming requirements have changed a lot since ten years ago. I’m sure a 5800X3D will still work well for 144Hz gaming five years from now, and my main concern is whether the hardware will eventually stop working rather than just becoming outdated.
I'm leaning more toward Red Team now that AM4 is retiring soon (and DDR5 is coming soon). The newer 12th gen is tough to justify unless you switch from another AM4 setup. I was moving up from LGA1151 and DDR3, so no real gain. A 12600K performs better than a 5600X in most situations, especially for gaming. I was worried about the board cost, but a mid-range ATX B660 from Gigabyte Gaming at around EUR120 (on sale) is fine.
