I'm using an AG400 and these are my current readings. The program started shortly after I saw your message. My CPU hit around 45°C at one moment, but it never goes past 70°C even with voltage adjustments. During Cinebench it reached up to 75°C, which is quite high.
Avoid focusing on idle temperatures unless they're extremely high; ensure full load stays away from throttling by about 5°C
Mainly it's about energy use. I lowered the voltage on my 5900X and it can still reach up to 220W without restrictions.
Your CPU's warmth matches the power it consumes, acting like a resistive heater. A 60W draw is similar to an old 60W incandescent bulb in terms of heat output. Cutting power use lowers both heat and emissions, especially if your energy source relies on fossil fuels instead of cleaner alternatives. The actual temperature rise is minimal for climate concerns; what matters most are greenhouse gas emissions. The Sun provides vastly more energy than we emit annually, and it's the trapping of that solar radiation that warms the planet—not our personal heating devices.
I believe it makes sense, right? There are many of us here, some own several vehicles and drive them. While cars aren't the main source of heat or gases, it's still significant—especially when considering power plants and factories, plus the rise of electric vehicles powered by those smoky facilities. Most places don't have much else to draw electricity from.
