No add-ons. Purchased and installed (3rd) brand new top-quality unit (by real-world tests). All wires fresh. Sufficient headroom. RAM - Tested at auto XMP and default settings. TESTED - No errors in 10 passes of memtest86 MB - Latest stable BIOS update (2021/06/01) (F33) with newest AGESA ComboV2 GPU - Passed all 3DMark stress tests. PCIe Gen3 not affecting anything. Driver reinstalling, unit reset, cleaning drivers via AMD tool and DDU in safe mode - no impact. Clean install without third-party software (only GPU driver via device manager path). No effect. GPU functions perfectly on other builds, especially used for 5 months prior on Intel i7 6700K without issues. CPU - Latest AMD chipset drivers. No fast boot. No overclocking. High-performance power settings applied. CPU operates within specs per CPU-Z benchmark. Voltage and temperatures normal. Windows 10 - Cannot install latest update Windows 10, version 20H2 - Frequently crashes during installation. Issue not exclusive to this case and has persisted before. System freezes under any workload, with unpredictable pauses. Just a black screen and restart. May last 5 minutes or an hour. However, it seems less frequent under mid-high CPU loads. Please assist, I’m extremely frustrated with AMD...my first AMD CPU and its performance is terrible. It feels like time to return the product."
1. Can you replicate it when booting off / installing Win10 to a different HDD/SSD? 2. Reseat CPU? I know it sounds odd, but a build I did for a friend booted and ran fine for a few days. Then I let it sit for a few days while I was waiting for more parts to come in and when I finally booted it back up I was having horrible stability issues. After tearing my hair out going over everything like you did, I eventually relented and popped the cooler and CPU off to find that a dust bunny had found its way into the edge of the LGA socket.
Thank you for a reply! 1) Its definitely related to power loss / control and if it has anything to do with ROM , at least there will be UEFI crush report ( like boot device is not found) or and BSOD. My understanding, that it is mostly like faulty CPU core power mgmt...but ill try. It gone through many windows updates with the 2) I'll check, but my case is always dust free and I assembled my rig in HEPA filtered room.

It seems the root cause might not be my ROM. Some unusual events occurred recently. I ran chkdsk /r and the system restarted three times at the end of Step4. I checked the health of recovery partitions, but SFC /scannow detected corrupted files that couldn't be fixed. I used DISM.exe to restore health, but it didn’t work. Eventually, I had to repair the partition using the Windows image, which fixed everything and SFC /scannow reported no issues. Then I ran chkdsk /r and all errors were fixed. I removed the NVM M.2, cleaned it thoroughly, lubricated the board and contacts, and degreased the chipset. After using the Intell SSD toolbox for a full diagnostic, it passed all tests. Still, the system crashed again during chkdsk /r and reported no bootable device.
I purchased a brand new M.2 NVMe SSD, set up fresh Windows, but the issue persists. I also attempted to run Prime95 and encountered crashes or reboots, even after completing standard compatibility tests right after installing the CPU. P.S. I've spent about 75% of the Ryzen 5 5600x purchase price swapping out other components and ended up without a return option. Additionally, I've observed that the Ryzen 5 5600x isn't included in AMD's official driver download list, which is a curious detail.
