Hello, I'm looking at a Ryzen 5 5500 CPU. I'm trying to increase its clock speeds but the adjustments from PBO tutorials aren't helping—the clocks don't seem to rise. The guides suggest tweaking PPT, TDC, and EDC, but those settings don't seem to unlock higher limits. Is there something else I should be checking or enabling for boost? Thanks.

It's better to perform CPU and/or game tests instead of just checking raw speeds. Try running benchmarks, note the outcomes, then tweak settings and compare them to the original numbers. You may not reach a higher peak clock, but maintaining higher speeds during stress could then boost real performance.

The values shown in the image correspond to usage with OCCT. Before and after curve optimizer, I consistently obtain the same clocks, remaining stable at ~4225 effective clocks. The main variation is a reduced temperature.

Check if your CPU cooler supports it. It’s best to adjust in BIOS, not Ryzen Master—it causes strange issues. Have you tried setting -30 across all cores?

I adjusted the settings to 1000, since I'm well beyond standard defaults. Here, I chose 120. I configured them in BIOS but opted for Ryzen Master for clearer display. On -30 OCCT there were some CPU issues. The most consistent readings were -25, -25, -25, -25, -20, -20.

To achieve better performance, it would help to test under different conditions. Running benchmarks can show how changes impact speed and efficiency.
