Ryzen 5 3600 in 70°C with Noctua NH-U12S cooling unit
It's running Ryzen 5 3600 rx 5700 xt gigabyte gaming OC ripjaws 2x8 3600 c16 M.IIX. It has an 8GB HDD with 250GB M.2 storage. Performance stays between 65-75 during games and 45-55 when idle. When I checked via Hwinfo, the chipset listed is (low power promontory).
The temperatures aren't too extreme, just a bit high overall but manageable. The average idle temperature is around 30-40°C. When I'm idle it hits 37°C, which indicates everything is active and my watercooler performs better at heat removal than air. With these conditions, you should be okay. Make sure the range stays within about 10°C to avoid fluctuations, so verify there aren't any background processes running when checking the readings.
When you see "chipset" labeled as "(low power promontory)" in Hwinfo, it usually refers to a specific component configuration. This might indicate a low-power setting or a particular chipset variant designed for energy efficiency. It’s generally normal for such labels, but if it affects performance, you can check the documentation or contact support for guidance on adjustments.
