Ryzen 5 3600 compatible with Asus Strix X370 motherboard
Hello everyone, I just upgraded my CPU from Ryzen 5 1500X to 3600 and noticed the temperatures are quite high. I'm using a Coolermaster MA410P rated at 150TDP. Idle temps sit between 45 to 50°C, and peak temps reach up to 86°C. Should I consider replacing my air cooler since my motherboard BIOS is set to auto 1.1V? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Gaming can continue up to 76C and I aim to keep my system running for five more years. The temperature range looks secure.
I don’t think I need to purchase another cooler. The Mugen 5 rev B looks pretty solid, and I’m not someone who focuses on AIOs.
Prime95 is a demanding stress test. Make sure your voltages are stable; a slightly larger cooler could help more. It's not strictly required, but an upgrade might be beneficial.
