Ryzen 5 3400G modding guide for HackIntosh builds
You're aiming for a solid build with a Ryzen 5 3400G, 16GB RAM at 3200MHz, WD Green 240GB SSD, and an ASRock FatalFury B450 in an i7 A60. It should perform well, especially if you optimize the BIOS and use good cooling. Expect smooth multitasking and decent gaming, though the A60's thermal limits mean keeping temperatures in check.
Unless you own a graphics card, you won't be able to proceed. Ryzen processors are more challenging to adapt for a hackintosh because they aren't built-in support.
I aimed for a scenario similar to Mac, avoiding the need for a dedicated GPU
I don't know if this still holds true, but last I knew AMD APUs were not supported by macOS, or at least not without a hell of a lot of tinkering. If it does work then I'd imagine you would need a dedicated GPU. That's not true. AMD CPUs (not APUs) are just as easy to get running with macOS these days as Intel CPUs are.
Have you checked for a Mac Mini case compatible with Mini-ITX boards? If not, consider it first before buying parts.
