Your CPU consumes more power during games even at reduced load because of factors beyond just the voltage setting. Undervolting to 1.0125V may not significantly lower power usage, and other components like cooling or workload can still drive higher consumption. Consider checking thermal performance and ensuring proper airflow.

I think the idle consumption is quite high. My 3700x draws 30-40W even when doing nothing, which is similar to your setup. It’s almost the same as what you’re experiencing. Just note that mobile CPUs in laptops are designed to save power while idle.
