I recently set up a new Ryzen PC with stock configuration for a few days. After experimenting, I decided to undervolt it and then try overclocking simultaneously. I adjusted the BIOS settings to lower the core voltage and managed to keep stable performance below 1.2V. Then I increased the base clock speed to explore maximum performance while maintaining low power consumption and CPU temperature. Your setup looks promising—see the screenshots in the BIOS for reference. The system is a Ryzen 5 2600, 3.8GHz @ 1.2V, 8GB DDR4 2933 (Profile 2). With memory, I plan to push it to around 3200MHz and 1.34V on the MSI B450i Gaming PLUS AC ITX board.
Increase the voltage slightly to achieve a consistent 4GHz frequency output.
I believe I’m reaching stable around 1.28v - 1.3v, though I haven’t run a stress test yet. The heat is getting worse and the fans are spinning too fast—I’m not sure if [email protected] is acceptable or just normal.
It's worth wondering... even with manual overclocking, will the CPU actually increase its core speed or just stay at the settings you set? Your stress tests reveal boosts up to around 4GHz on some cores, while regular benchmarks like 3DM Mark or Cinebench sometimes display higher values.
