It offers minimal USB ports on the IO shield (motherboard back panel) and usually lacks heatsinks on the VRM circuitry. This setup can restrict performance if you plan to upgrade later—your processor might run slower due to VRM overheating, causing it to throttle frequencies or shut down cores temporarily to save power. For optimal results, consider B450 boards. B350 models still function well but may pose challenges for future upgrades. Asrock B450 Pro4 models are excellent and affordable. If unavailable, the Gigabyte B450 M DS3H is a budget-friendly option for a 1600. Keep in mind that B550 boards are expected soon, making B450 models even scarcer in stores as manufacturers shift production toward B550.
