Seems like you don’t need to replace your CPU just yet. A friend borrowed the 3000G I lost, returned it in perfect condition—no bent pins! It had been damaged yesterday but he restored every pin. I sent him back and he didn’t accept payment, but I managed to get a coffee for him. Now my second PC is working again, and I’m planning upgrades later when I have more funds!

Great teamwork! It was nice to see it go smoothly.

It was taken because I was modifying the cooler and the CPU came out of its socket unintentionally. That’s not uncommon. Sometimes things go wrong. When I attempted to remove the CPU from the cooler, it fell out. What else could I say? In my earlier comment I mentioned I usually don’t face such problems, but accidents do happen. I noted in the thread that I intended to use my old 1060 and explained my budget constraints clearly. We all have different priorities; some expenses matter more than others.

You're sharp, but the 1060 wasn't included. It might save some readers from scrolling through the whole discussion.
