RYZEN 4650G is an upgrade version, not a 3400g model.
I'm considering switching from a Ryzen 2200G to another processor or APU. I have a 1060 with 3GB RAM and a 16GB CL34 GPU, which is currently limiting my options and making upgrades difficult. Because of these constraints, I'm leaning toward an APU instead of nothing at all, just in case my GPU doesn't work out. I'd rather invest in a solid card now than rush into a purchase due to inflation. The boards available are Auros PRO B550 and MSI B550 Mortar. The APUs I see are 4650G and 3400G, but the store can't suggest one for me. Also, Intel is out of stock right now—only CPUs like the Celeron 6400 are available, which isn't powerful enough.
The 4650G offers improved performance, though it's available exclusively through OEM channels. You'll likely find it either refurbished or via the grey market. Your decision on whether to rely on it depends on your preferences.
