What is the goal here? 6700k seems like a solid choice, but paying more for just 6C/12T feels unnecessary. The real advantage comes with 3700X, but only if you really need those extra cores.

Don't stress over the numbers. I'm focused on gaming, editing, and streaming. The 6700k works, but I notice my secondary PC running at 3600 feels more powerful in practice.
