Ryzen 4000 vs 6700k
Ryzen 4000 vs 6700k
Consider the Ryzen 4000 lineup carefully. You might want to look at the 3600(X) with MB RAM and hold off on the R4000 until it arrives. Or you could wait for the next-gen models. The X570 should work with the R4000, but your 6700K is quite slow by today’s standards—maybe upgrading there would help. Your thoughts?
The Ryzen 400 is the latest model. The X570 should work with it. Avoid the 3600 version; the regular one is more affordable and functions just as well.
Yea, the 3600 is a beast. I have another one with that cpu and a 980. And its performing better than my 6700k and 1080ti.. lol
The specific CPU model you're referring to is the Ryzen 4000 series. It can feature upcoming Zen 3 desktop processors and current Zen 2 APUs. If you're focusing on Zen 3, it might be better to hold off until later, so you can explore the newest motherboard options instead of dealing with compatibility issues from older generations. The device will function, but there are often hidden details when you investigate further. AMD has borrowed features from Intel over time, though I wish they hadn't repeated similar naming conventions as Intel did.
The Ryzen 4000 is a solid choice. You don’t have to act right away since you already own the 6700K. Consider getting a stronger GPU or increasing RAM instead. The X570 can definitely run the 4000.
You have a 1080 Ti and 32GB storage, so a stronger CPU would really help with multitasking.
