Hello, your recent upgrade from Ryzen 7 1700x to Ryzen 9 3900x has caused some issues with the boost clock. Despite the motherboard indicating a max frequency of around 4.6GHz, you're only reaching about 4.2GHz. It seems the VRM might be contributing to the problem, but I’m not entirely sure. You may want to check the BIOS settings or consider a different cooler if needed. Using the included cooler doesn’t seem to resolve the issue.

4.6ghz runs quietly using one core boosts. The top choice is to verify chipset drivers and refresh the BIOS. Chipset drivers first.

Task manager is just okay. Upgrade to something better—try HWiNFO.

Thanks! It seems HWinfo and updating the chipset helped boost the advertised single-core speed. Now I just need to increase the RAM to the rated 3200MHz instead of the current 2133MHz.

Are you using those single-threaded benches with SMT enabled or disabled? Consider switching it off. I’m not seeing any boost when it’s running on single thread, possibly because the load is split between two threads... turning it off should eliminate that issue.
