I reviewed the components I acquired recently. For the CPU, I bought a Ryzen 7 3700X, a cooler from Noctua, a motherboard from Asus, RAM from Corsair, a storage drive from Samsung, and a power supply from Corsair. The total comes to $1992.00 after fees. I also purchased a case fan and a wireless card. Everything seems to be in order except for some booting issues. When I tried to install Windows on the new SSD, I encountered errors like "Windows needs to be repaired" and difficulty accessing BIOS. The CPU itself appears undamaged, but there might be a compatibility or installation problem. I recommend checking the motherboard manual and ensuring proper installation of the SSD. If the issue persists, consider testing the drive in another system.

Consider swapping the SATA cable. Try installing one stick of RAM first, then the other. Sometimes faulty RAM occurs. Verify if there’s a BIOS update available. If not, it could be the CPU or motherboard issue.

No SATA cables are present; both storage devices use M.2 form factors. I’ll inspect the RAM, though it’s been with me for several years without any problems. There’s a newer BIOS version available, but it introduced some complications, so I went back to the older one.

Oh no, I forgot about that. One of my friends' setups had similar problems. It turns out the SATA cable had a tiny cut. That’s odd. I’m hoping the motherboard is still in good shape. It’s curious the BIOS update caused different issues too. I’ve also had the Ryzen CPU removed along with the cooler, which isn’t easy. Yeah, just run memtest86 on the RAM just in case (though if you’ve been using it, that seems unlikely to be a problem).

I received a 3700x in the initial run. It suffered from boot problems and wouldn't start with any configuration or modification I attempted (every BIOS tried, battery disconnected from the motherboard, all RAM settings tested—single stick, dual sticks, multiple options—nothing resolved it). I filed a return request, which was a significant waste of my time and effort. They also had some faulty units in their first few batches, and many customers have complained about this issue.

The pin appears bent or damaged, with noticeable changes in the pattern.

Enjoy reshaping it if it still holds together... If you're struggling like me, it might need a bit more time—maybe just a few minutes.

I observed the pattern shift but still checking the CPU closely. A few pins seem to have a faint white tint at the base, yet these are brand new CPUs and they appear identical. There doesn’t seem to be any bent or missing pins.

If the CPU isn't completely broken, it's worth considering a return. Faulty chips can still occur occasionally, even with Intel.

I tested my PC with a new CPU and was surprised by the lack of improvement. When I press the power button, the motherboard LED lights up in red, then white, and occasionally green. The issue has worsened since my last update. The computer won’t boot at all and restarts itself after flipping the LEDs once, but no progress is made. I managed to get it to start when I removed a stick of RAM, though the error lights remain, indicating ongoing problems. I’m even more confused than before I began troubleshooting.
